Installation¶
This guide explains how to install BimBeau Privacy Analytics on a WordPress website and confirm that the plugin is ready to use.
Required access
You need access to the WordPress admin area with permission to install and activate plugins.
Requirements¶
Before installing BimBeau Privacy Analytics, make sure your website meets the minimum requirements:
- WordPress 6.4 or later;
- PHP 7.4 or later;
- administrator access to the WordPress dashboard.
Install BimBeau Privacy Analytics¶
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
- Upload the plugin ZIP file or install BimBeau Privacy Analytics from the source available to you.
- Click Activate.
- Open the BimBeau Privacy Analytics menu in the WordPress admin area.
Free and Pro packages
BimBeau Privacy Analytics Free and BimBeau Privacy Analytics Pro are mutually exclusive runtime packages. Keep only the package you intend to use active on the same WordPress installation.
Confirm the installation¶
After a normal single-plugin activation, WordPress redirects once to BimBeau Privacy Analytics and opens the configuration assistant. Network, bulk, command-line, and package-switch activation flows do not use this redirect. Check that:
- the dashboard loads without an error;
- the privacy and tracking settings match the website policy;
- internal roles are excluded if they should not be counted;
- advanced tracking is controlled by a CMP when consent is required.
