This Privacy Policy explains how the bimbeau.fr website collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you visit the BimBeau Privacy Analytics website, documentation, pricing pages, and support resources.

It applies to this website only. If you install the BimBeau Privacy Analytics WordPress plugin on your own website, you remain responsible for your own privacy policy, consent workflow, analytics configuration, and legal compliance.

Information we process¶

When you visit this website, we may process limited information needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website.

This may include:

• technical request information handled by the hosting provider, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, date, time, and basic security logs;
• cookie consent preferences stored in your browser;
• basic audience measurement information collected without cookies by BimBeau Privacy Analytics, our own plugin, installed on bimbeau.fr;
• detailed audience measurement information collected by BimBeau Privacy Analytics and Google Analytics only if you accept optional analytics;
• advertising measurement information collected by the OpenAI Ads pixel only if you accept optional advertising measurement;
• information you choose to send us when contacting support or asking a question.

We do not use this website's measurement tools for advertising personalization, cross-site advertising profiles, or selling personal data. Advertising measurement is only used to know whether our ads bring visits, downloads, and purchases.

Cookies and browser storage¶

The website uses a consent banner so you can separately accept or reject optional detailed analytics and advertising measurement. Basic audience measurement uses no cookies and does not depend on this banner.

Strictly necessary storage is used to remember your consent choice and keep the website working. Audience measurement local storage holds no direct personal data. Optional Google Analytics and advertising storage are disabled by default and only enabled if you accept the matching category.

You can change your choice at any time by using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Audience measurement with BimBeau Privacy Analytics¶

We measure the audience of this website with our own plugin, BimBeau Privacy Analytics, installed on the bimbeau.fr WordPress site. It tells us which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and on which devices, so we can improve the website and documentation.

For each page view, the website sends to the bimbeau.fr server: the page address (with any campaign parameters, such as utm_source), the domain of the website you came from, the device category, and a random visit identifier. The server derives the browser, operating system, and approximate country from the request. When you click through to the WordPress.org page of the plugin, the website also sends this click, with the page, the clicked link, the device category, and the same visit identifier.

This basic measurement uses no cookies, does no cross-site tracking, and is not shared with any third party: the data stays on our server. It does not run when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

If you accept the Analytics category, BimBeau Privacy Analytics also measures your visit in detail: real-time presence, active time spent on pages, browser window size, and visit details. This data also stays on our server. If you withdraw consent, this detailed measurement stops from the next page.

Google Analytics¶

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the BimBeau Privacy Analytics website and documentation are used.

Google Analytics is optional on this website. It is loaded only when you accept the Analytics category in the consent banner.

The website uses these Google Analytics properties:

• G-564K4454E9 for the BimBeau Privacy Analytics website;
• G-2VSNRFFXQQ for global analytics measurement.

Our Google Analytics consent setup keeps advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization denied. Analytics storage remains denied until you give consent.

If you reject analytics, the website does not load Google Analytics for your visit. If you later withdraw consent, Google Analytics cookies covered by the consent tool are cleared where supported by the browser and consent library.

OpenAI Ads pixel¶

We run ads in ChatGPT. To know whether these ads are useful, the website can load the OpenAI Ads measurement pixel (ID QmraHuxgXy78jE7NgAkEqm), provided by OpenAI.

The pixel is optional. It is loaded only when you accept the Advertising measurement category in the consent banner. It then measures page views, clicks to the plugin listing on WordPress.org, checkout opening, and purchases, with amount and currency. These events are sent with the option that excludes them from ad personalization.

If you withdraw consent, the pixel stops sending events and its cookies are cleared where supported by the browser and consent library. OpenAI processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Third-party services¶

This website may rely on third-party services to operate, document, sell, or support BimBeau Privacy Analytics.

These services may include:

• Hostinger, for website hosting;
• Google Analytics, for optional audience measurement after consent;
• OpenAI, for optional measurement of our ads in ChatGPT after consent;
• jsDelivr, to load the cookie consent library assets;
• Freemius, as Merchant of Record for BimBeau Privacy Analytics Pro checkout, payments, taxes, invoices, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refund processing;
• WordPress.org, when you follow links to the BimBeau Privacy Analytics plugin listing or related WordPress resources.

When you follow an external link or complete a purchase through a third-party service, that third party may apply its own privacy policy, terms, and data-processing rules.

Legal bases¶

Depending on the context, we process information on the following bases:

• legitimate interest, to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website;
• legitimate interest, for cookieless audience measurement with BimBeau Privacy Analytics;
• consent, for optional detailed analytics (BimBeau Privacy Analytics and Google Analytics) and OpenAI Ads advertising measurement;
• contractual or pre-contractual necessity, when you contact us about support, product information, or a potential purchase;
• legal obligation, where record keeping, accounting, tax, or compliance rules require it.

Retention¶

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

Consent choices are stored for up to 180 days. Audience measurement data is retained on bimbeau.fr according to the retention periods configured in BimBeau Privacy Analytics. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in Google Analytics. OpenAI Ads pixel data is retained according to OpenAI rules. Hosting and security logs are retained according to operational, security, and hosting-provider requirements.

Your rights¶

Depending on your location and applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing activities.

You may also withdraw detailed analytics or advertising measurement consent at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@bimbeau.fr. You may also contact the competent data-protection authority if you believe your rights have not been respected.

Security¶

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the website and reduce unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.

No website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Avoid sending license keys, passwords, private URLs, visitor data, or other sensitive information through public channels.

Changes to this policy¶

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, analytics setup, consent banner, third-party services, or legal requirements change.

The updated date at the top of the page indicates the latest published version.
